Harper is sooo big now. She weighs in over 25 pounds and is quickly outgrowing 18-24 months clothes now. She went up 3 shoe sizes over the summer and now wears a size 6. She is speaking more words now but really dos not have to since she has a big sister who says everything for her. My latest favorites are Dub you (love you) and toe too (thank-you). She is right now getting 5 new teeth which I think wil just about complete the baby teeth. She is getting to be a picky eater but takes most of it from her big sister as Hadley is constantly oushing her own plate away and Harper wants to be just like her.
Lots has happened since my last update but I will try and make it quick. We had Hadley's birthday, Great Gramma dn Grandpa's 50th Wedding getaway, a visit from Uncle Dana and Chloe, Thanksgiving at Rock Glen and her first real Halloween. Fun times.
The getaway to Nestleton started out rough as she had her first UTI. She had a fever for a few days before our departure but I thought it would pass. We ended up in the Peterborough ER on our first day of family vacation...for 6 hours! Anyhow, the did all sorts of tests and x-rays and when nothing showed they decided to do a urine test....which is usually done upon entry. So basically I waited 2 of those hours for her to pee. Blood in her urine and high proteins called for some antibiotics which kicked in rather quickly...she was back to her usual cute self in 24 hours. She had such a great time with her cousins and aunts and uncles and grand parents. She slept well every night which was great.
Uncle Dana bd Chloe came for a 2 week visit and Harper got to knwo Chloe a little better...she was just a baby last time she saw her in Nelson. We had backyard BBQ's and lots of pool fun with all the Diotte family.
Rock Glen was a hit and the first place she got to wear her Halloween costume...Hadley's old monkey. Unlike her sister, she wore it with pride and loved all the attention she got while in it. She went from campsite to campsite trick or treating. We played at the park and went swimming htroughout the weekend too. Much, much fun!!!
Harper was spoiled this Halloween....first Rock Glen then Hilloween (trick or treatin' on Parliament Hill with daddy) then a party at daycare and finally the real Halloween night. We had a party at the Saha's again and she did her best to keep up with the bigger and older kids. She was a pro...up to the house, hand out for candy, get candy, say thank-you and put it in her bag...repeat times 30 or so. CUTE!!!!
One last thing...Harper did her first poop on the potty this week at only 18 months old. Hopefully this means we will be out of diapers soon enough...or maybe not. Time will tell. I guess that pretty much brings you up to speed. Enjoy!
