34 weeks
Baby has dropped! This is good news but has its bad side as well. I can breathe better and eat a little more at on siting but I am experiencing a whole new pain level. I had my apointment with the High Risk Obstetrics Unit at the Civic on Friday....my doctor wanted to send me just in case as so much has been going on with this pregnancy. My ultrasound was first on the list of things to do and it was quite an experience. I saw babies face so clearly! It has chubby little cheeks and is quite squished down there. The technician did all of her measurements and let me know that this baby holds most of its weight in it's abdomen... " you have a BIG baby here" is what she told me next. The estimated weight was 5 pounds and 14 ounces!!! My cervix has not really thined at 2.6cm but Dr. Cargil told me that could change in a flash. The doctor also let me know that if this baby was delivered today, it would thrive and be very healthy...great news. Here is the bad news... the docotr explained that the reason I am having such pain in pubic and pelvic region is due to my pubic bone separating due to the wieght of this child and that it is my second! I didn't even know this was possible. So, the advice was massage (which I am already doing once a week) and bed rest as much as possible. Hard to do with a 1.5 year old at home but trying as much as poosible.
